Lajatico is a pretty small village situated in the heart of Tuscany,not so far away from the well known town of Volterra and the most important historical centre of the Valdera area.
It became famous thanks to a special music event that every year take places at the Teatro del Silenzio, built up from Andrea Bocelli, one of our most popular Italian singer and it embodies perfectly the fascination of a old rural Tuscan village that has been renovated but still keep the taste and the respect of the tradition.
Over the beauty of the landscape and the picturesque colors of the sunset, that offer to the visitors many opportunity for relaxing and enjoy their holiday, the town is provided with service like a pharmacy, private medical office, Post and Bank offices and the Toursit information office.
In this area we have also to rember places of a high cultural level like: Teatro del Silenzio, Rocca di Pietracassia, Mulini a Vento e I Borboi, and the natural reserve of Orciatico; for the sport’s lovers there are tennis and soccer courts.
